‘American Idol’ banking on being nicer
American Idol’ is reportedly hoping that the new, nicer judges (Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler) will make a difference for the show and give it another chance with viewers.
Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is happy with the new direction the show is taking, states TV Squad. “I feel that with the times we are in, the economic crisis we are in, I believe in America now, we need warmth,” Lythgoe revealed.
He also reportedly believes that fans want to believe that there is a future and that possibilities are out there.
“The judges this year have been particularly picky and careful about giving everyone a second opportunity because everybody screws up with nerves, and they know because they’ve done it themselves,” Lythgoe said about the judges being more understanding this year.
Do you think the judges are too nice on ‘American Idol’?
